Taking Metro to Panda base
Panda base (Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding) is the most famous attraction in Chengdu city! It attracts thousands of tourists all over the world every year. Even though pandas never pay attention on tourists no matter how they show their love, they just idly eating, sleeping and playing in their park, people can’t help to scream and take photos on these cute babies.
The best time to visit panda base is in the early morning around 8:00, breeders will feed them food at that time. In addition, please avoid all public holidays and the summer vacation-July and August, it will be crowded with tourists during these periods.

Drinking tea in People’s Park
There are a lot of tea houses in Chengdu as it’s a lazy city, people enjoy drinking tea, playing mahjong and chatting in the park. People’s Park is famous for the culture, you will see people singing, dancing, kicking shuttlecock, doing Taichi in the park.
There’s a special corner in this park names Blind date corner(相亲角). An interesting note here is that it’s not a corner for people who wants to blind date but a place where parents help their children to date. Parents will post their children’s information like age, height, conditions, and requirements on paper hoping to find someone right. It has been a unique landscape in Chengdu city.

An ancient street – Kuan Zhai Alley
After strolling in People’s park, you can go to Kuan Zhai Alley for lunch and some snacks. It’s only 5 minutes’ walk away from People’s park. Kuan Zhai Alley is the last remnant of the Old Shaocheng part of Chengdu. Much of the new architecture was modeled after, or built on the top pf the old exiting ones, but this is still one of the best places to get pieces of the real Chengdu. There are many interesting souvenir shops in this street, if you are tired, you can also have a seat in Starbucks in a Chinese courtyard.
